Level 1
Direct registration
New coaches can start here, or continue from ITLAS, Little Athletics, teaching or school sport.
Youth / Running
Level 2
Direct registration
Coaches with delivery experience can enter here, including teachers, club coaches and event assistants.
Development / Advanced
Level 3
Pathway progression
Usually follows Level 2 or Advanced Running, then moves into event-specific performance coaching.
Specialise
Level 4
Application pathway
For coaches with advanced practice, evidence of impact and high-performance environments.
Recognise expertise

Youth through high-performance event coaching.

Community running pathway that merges into endurance performance.

CPD badges sit beside the base accreditation, not above it.
This lets a coach show both their role level and their current learning depth. A Development Coach can be Bronze, Silver or Gold depending on their ongoing professional learning.

SSilver
Broader capability across coaching, athlete support and event learning.
GGold
Deep specialisation and sustained professional development.
