Coaches who are members of their State/Territory Athletics Association receive a wide range of benefits. These include:

Coaching accreditation recognised by Athletics Australia, World Athletics, and the Australian Sports Commission
Coaching insurance, including:
- Public liability insurance up to $30,000,000 for any one occurrence.
- Products liability insurance up to $30,000,000 for any one insurance period.
- Professional indemnity insurance up to $10,000,000 for any one insurance period.
