2025 AIS ASPIRE Coach Program
Applications Now Open!
The AIS HP Coach Development Team are delighted to share that applications for the AIS ASPIRE Coach Program are currently open. This Program is a 3-day initiative designed to support the development of women coaches who aspire to enter and thrive in the High Performance (HP) coaching landscape.
This is an excellent career development opportunity for female coaches at the SSO/D level (or equivalent). No nominations are required β aspiring coaches can apply directly.
We encourage those interested to attend the information session on Thursday 24 July at 1:00 pm AEST to learn more about the opportunity.
Program Overview
What the Program Covers:
Building a talent pool for early entry coaches is foundational in our pursuit to build an inclusive and sustainable sporting system, an objective of Australiaβs High Performance 2032+ Sport Strategy.
The Program will focus on developing the knowledge and competencies of Australiaβs early-career women coaches specific to:
Β· Awareness and understanding of self
Β· Understanding the HP landscape regarding role clarity, expectations, available development resources and networks
Β· Development of communication and navigation skills to support entry into the HP environment
The program has been co-designed by women coaches and will be delivered by a leadership team of women coaches.
Target Audience
Women coaches who have experience and success coaching competitive athletes at the national and state level and ASPIRE to have a career as a HP coach.
Application Process
Applications open: 23 June 2025 9:00 am AEST
Applications close: 4 August 2025 2:00 pm AEST
Who Should Apply
The coach will be required to submit their own application and NSO/Ds and SSO/Ds are encouraged to support nominations from coaches.
